Multiplex Testing – using Biochip Array Technology

Biochip Array Technology (BAT) is an innovative assay technology which utilises multiplex testing methodology in a rapid, accurate and easy-to-use format. Users of BAT can have the utmost confidence in its proven transformational platform analysis, reagents and procedures. The surface chemistry between the biochip and the analysis platforms allow BAT to be used with a range of patient samples: whole blood, serum, saliva, urine and tissue biopsy*.

As well as having time and cost saving benefits, which drive towards an increase in clinical performance, testing for multiple markers gives a more comprehensive picture of the patient’s condition.

Applications of Biochip Array Technology

  • Universities, contract organisations, private/public sector, environmental laboratories

  • Pharma and Drug Development: Pre-clinical and clinical studies

  • Forensic and Drugs of Abuse testing

  • Veterinary testing

  • Molecular testing

Biochip Immunoassays – Multiplex Testing you can trust

Biochip Array Technology from Randox is capable of simultaneous multi-analyte diagnostic testing within the fields of clinical research and testing, Drugs of Abuse screening and DNA analysis.

Biochip Array Technology is an immunoassay testing platform for the simultaneous multi-analyte testing of a panel of related analytes. The technology works by combining a panel of related assays on a single biochip with a single set of reagents, controls and calibrators. Only one single undivided sample is used. The results are read by a CCD-camera and custom image-processing software.

Based on proven ELISA principles, the innovative feature of Biochip Array Technology is simultaneous multi-analyte testing. Each biochip has 25 Discrete Test Regions (DTRs) and each DTR holds an individual analyte for testing. This means that 23 tests can be carried out with two reserved for internal quality control, another unique Biochip Array Technology feature.

An extensive range of comprehensive biochip panels are available, each optimised to provide the best performance. With so much choice, you are sure to find what you need. Please view the individual arrays to find out more
